New jewelry, pizza dough recipe and other things!

So I had a premier jewelry party recently, and just for having one, and having some great friends over I got all this for free! Love Premier and my friends who came, and of course my friend Lisa who sells it! There are a pair of gold hoops as well, however I had to put them on!

I love this turquoise set, cant wait to wear it!

So most every Friday we have pizza. After many years of buying it, I ran across this recipe of frozen pizza dough over at brown sugar toast and ever since I have been making it! It is so easy and cheap!

Freezable Pizza Dough

2 Tbls active dry yeast
2 cups warm water
2 tsp sugar
5 cups flour (I use half white and half whole wheat)
4 Tbls olive oil
2 tsp salt

Instructions:
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
Mix the rest of the ingredients with the yeast mixture.
Dump on floured surface and knead for 3 minutes
Divide dough in half
If freezing; Seal tightly in a freezer bag & store in freezer for up to 6 weeks.
When baking; Allow to thaw at room temperature for at least 4 hours. Roll onto greased pan, top with desired toppings, and bake at 500 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Enjoy!
I also use this dough to make Stromboli! -see below picture

This weekend my husband and Logan will be cutting down a huge tree that fell over from a past storm about a month ago. Isnt it HUGE? It was crazy, it just blew down!!
Its actually our neighbors tree, however they have been kind enough to let us have the wood, since that is how we (and most others in our area) heat our house during those cold winter months. My son is very excited about this project...... He cant wait to spend his whole weekend doing this!

I on the other hand will be painting these lovely garbage picked items!! Aren't they awesome? The bench is a glider! I plan on painting them white. I will post an after pic when completed.

Enjoy your weekend! :-)

Logan!

So Logan turned 19, I have been wanting to dedicate a post to him! Logan you were a great baby, a great toddler, a great child, not too bad of a teenager (seriously), and now your on your journey of adulthood. I am so proud of you! You have the best humor and are so funny, you always make us laugh all the time! Seriously this kid is hilarious. You are a great big brother, a great friend, and a great family member. You are witty, and charming, however not so organized and tidy! Hopefully that will come later on in life....:-)

Logan I love you so much, and am so honored to be your Mom! Happy 19th Birthday!

God Bless!
Love Mom

A little bit of everything!

So it is officially summer and so far we have been able to make out our summer to do board.
I got this idea from Erin over at Sunny side up. It was a great activity for the girls and me.

I was finally able to get a pedicure! My first one EVER! Yes people its true, I partially never got one because I felt I could just as good and couldn't find myself to spend the money on something I can do myself.  But I really have been wanting to be pampered and gave in! Let me tell you that was sooooo nice! I will definitely do that again before the summer is over! Here's a pic, although its been a few days.

                                                                        Pretty feet!

Hannah's softball is coming to an end. Its kind of bitter sweet, as I look forward not rushing around in the evenings, I know that her first year of softball is ending. Just growing up way too fast!
Here is a pic of her and her awards at the softball picnic.

Isn't she adorable! She really loves softball and has learned so much as well.

Logan is off to Cedar Point with his girlfriends family for the next three days! Very nice family! Cedar Point is so fun, I really wanted to plan that for this summer, although I am not sure if the girls would enjoy it as much as Logan. I am glad he is able to go, since we most likely won't be. Its hard at times to organize a trip for a 19 year old and a 5/8 year old.

I got to finally organize the girls drawers. They were was having such a hard time with picking out outfits, so I decided to organize their outfits so when they go to grab a shirt the shorts/skirt are folded up inside the shirt and wha-la, you have an outfit! I need to remember next time I go shopping to make sure I purchase outfits not just random shirts and then shorts! I took inventory and made a list of what is needed as well.  Here is a pic of what the drawer looks like with everything folded.

Here is how I have the shorts/skirt folded up inside the top.

Girls have finally been able to go swimming! The weather went from 70 to 90 in a day! gotta love Michigan!

Well that has been our summer so far! :-)

Getting to Normal!

So things are getting to normal around here! I have been trying to get organized for the summer, I'm getting there, however I have a lot on my list! So far I have been able to clean the house and get laundry completed. This weekend I want to make our summer to do board, make plans on what we plan on doing for some small vacations this summer. Like I have said in a previous blog that I am totally fine with just staying home for the summer and completing some projects around here maybe heading up to the thumb area or west Michigan for a long weekend. I would like to organize the girls books, and there drawers as well.
My real plan to complete this summer is the kids albums, I recently bought albums and want to create a sort of Project Life (see Becky Higgins website) for them. I want to redo the back family room. Decorate the house with new blinds, and save money so we can redo our kitchen it is totally out dated, we will need to gut it and get new cabinets.
It was really nice yesterday I actually able to make dinner! I made spaghetti, something simple but good hearty meal! Instead of ground turkey or beef I used sausage. My husband has been begging me to make it with sausage and it was really good! I kind of was forced to because I did not have any ground meat, but had some turkey bratwursts, so I cut them out of their casings and cooked it, added sauce and cheese and wha la! Come and get it! It just felt good because I have not been able to cook a meal in forever we have been so busy, busy fun!

We also got a chance yesterday to go to the school and the girls rode their bikes, (Hailey is a pro now with no training wheels!) while I got a quick run in! The weather here has been so nice! High 70's no humidity!

I purchased this snack dish to put fruit and veggies in so the kids, and I can eat a little healthier instead of running to the snack drawer (Got this great idea from Erin at Sunny Side Up). I did learn though that the dip needs to be in a covered container so it doesn't take on all the other flavors of fruit and veggies. So I scooped out the dip and placed it in a container with a lid and placed it in the middle and I also made a fruit dip as well.  Making me hungry just looking at it!
Enjoy your weekend!

Summer!

Summer is here! No more packing lunches, no more signing endless papers, no more homework, no more projects... We are looking forward to being much more relaxed, the girls can sleep in a little bit more (I like to keep them close to their same schedule), drink coffee on our porch, watch movies, swim in the pool!!!! We talked about completing  a summer calendar, that idea we got from Erin over at sunnysideup.blogspot.com basically writing down everything you would like to do over the summer.

Not sure what vacations we will be taking this summer, since we haven't already planned any yet, which we normally have planned by this point. I would like to complete some projects around the house, do some scrap booking, and just relax. My family just left, they were here for a week and it was so much fun!  We already checked some things off our list. We went to the splash village in frankenmuth, and had a couple BBQ's.

It has been a busy week here are some pics!

It is what it is!

Well remember how last week I stated I was going to MAKE cookies for those lovely ladies that take great care of my kids, well I woke up today thinking "Oh no today was the day I was supposed to have cookies made for daycare ladies". Needless to say I have no eggs since the other night I wanted to make brownies for my family and didn't have any eggs. I did attempt to substitute with applesauce, however that does not work please take note!!! See people my family is in town, and when that happens its hard to focus on real life events! Why, because my family creates their own real life events. So I have two options right now, go BUY some or go buy some freakin eggs and MAKE them. Uhg, seriously people don't get me wrong I love to bake, although at this point I don't know how I am going to make that happen unless I just don't sleep tonight. I have a full day of work, then get the kids from daycare with my head hanging down because I have nothing to give to those lovely ladies.  Hannah has softball practice tonight. Did I say that tomorrow was the last day of school.... I am a planner I just failed on this one!

Its going to have to be me not sleeping and giving it them on the last day of school! Pray for me, pray for strength!

Here are some pics

Here is Hannah, Hailey and my niece Kayla. We are in line to go gocarting! Notice Hannahs blue teeth, arent they pretty? She likes blue slurpees! They are having a ball with eachother, they only get to see eachother like once a year! :-(   But are livin it up!

Heres Hailey and Kayla playing barbies (Hannahs still got school)! I love seeing girls play with barbies!
Don't mind their room -family is in town and the cleaning lady has given up!

OK had to post this, the girls were hilarious, note Halieys attitude! They came in from the back family room and were crackin up because they took the balls and made boobs! Had to laugh! Like I said havin a ball!!!!!

Heres my lovely Mom! Nice pose right?

We celebrated her 82nd Birthday yesterday! Yep 82! She is full of spit and vinegar and still a fire cracker people! Trouble nothin but trouble! God Bless her! Love you Mom, you crazy lady!
(She is going to kill me for posting these, but this is my blog Mom, and there's nothin you can do about it! Ha!)

Enjoy your week! :-)

End of the school Year!

Well this has been a crazy week (sound familiar?).... with working full time and this is my busiest time of year, we had softball practice, a game and gymnastics, along with making sure that all the end of the school  year projects, work etc is done. I am exhausted! I wanted to share what we gave Hailey's preschool teachers and Hannahs teacher. This is always a struggle with me, but I think we did pretty good this year! Being a teacher is one of the most important jobs and I always feel I want to thank them and how much they are appreciated. I was so sad to make Hannahs lunch yesterday and it be her LAST lunch for third grade :-( She is very excited as her sister to be moving on! Me not so much....

This is what we gave Haileys teachers.
Sorry it posted sideways, but I am in a hurry and dont have time to rotate it! They are homemade soaps and lipbalms!

This is what we gave Hannah's teacher.

Again, sorry its sideways! Her teacher really likes Burts Bees so I thought she would like this!

For the Daycare ladies we will be making a batch of cookies to give, along with thank you cards from me!

Hannah wanted to make a treat for her classmates for the end of the year, she decided on cupcakes and wrote 2013 along with a special note from her! Isnt she talented! She thought of the different colors with the numbers, takes after her Dad on the creativity side!

Well happy end of the year everyone (Kim)! ha ha  :-)

I am very excited for summer!

These are the days!

These are the days.....these are the days I want to remember; like when my girls want to snuggle on my lap and hold my hand, and my son will actually sit in the living room with us and talk and laugh, he is 18 and continues to like us, depends on the day of course! I do remember the days though when he held my hand and we played together laughing over silly things, or watching him play in the yard.  Hailey just learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels! She said to me a couple of weeks ago, " Mommy I want to ride my bike with just two wheels."  So that weekend off came the training wheels, and then my husband sold them in our garage sale, so there was no going back! She is such a dedicated little person with everything she does. In about a weeks worth of practicing she's got it!  My Hannah is doing cartwheels all over the place, she is learning that practice makes perfect. This past weekend she did about a million cartwheels trying to perfect her cartwheel (keeping her legs straight). By Monday, she's got it!  They grow fast and I want to remember the little things. There little hands in my hand and the comments like "Mommy I want to be a Mommy like you when I grow up", cant get any better than that! Lets hope they are still saying that when they are 16! Ha..... I remember when Logan said he wanted to marry me when he got bigger! Love that! In fact Hailey and Hannah have both said they want to marry Bruce when they get bigger, Oh actually Hailey said she wanted to marry me too! Yes life is sweet! The summers doing fun things like riding bikes by the water. Holding my hand and skipping to go get the mail, making meals/desserts together. These are the days I want to remember these are only some of things, wish I could bottle all of the moments. On some days I wish there was a magic pill to keep them all young......me as well! :-)

Have a great day! :-)
